Shahrukh Irani and K Saumitra of the Young
Creatives Team of Ambience Publicis Advertising
Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, were today adjudged the
winners in the national creative initiative
taken by the Advertising Agencies Association
of India (AAAI) and supported by the Times
of India Group.
The winning team will be flying off to
the Cannes Advertising Festival in June
to be the official Indian representatives
and to compete with about forty-five teams
from all over the world in the prestigious
International Young Creatives Contest.
Supported by the Times of India Group,
the AAAI organized the national leg of this
contest, and invited entries on the theme
“Tsunami Aid Relief” from AAAI
member agencies and all INS accredited advertising
agencies. Mr Ramesh Narayan -- a Past-President
of the AAAI and currently Chairman of the
AAAI Print Media Relations Committee --
who, for the last five consecutive years,
has spearheaded this initiative of the AAAI
to foster and nurture young creative talent
in the advertising industry, was the Convenor
of the Jury. For the judging process, Mr
Narayan invited eminent advertising professionals,
all of whom have been jury members at the
Cannes Advertising Festival. This year's
judges were Mr Ashok Kurien, Chairman and
Managing Director of Ambience Publicis,
Mr R Balakrishnan, National Creative Director
of LOWE Lintas, and Mr Piyush Pandey, Executive
Chairman & National Creative Director
of O&M.
Out of the 136 entries received from 46
advertising agencies, the judges shortlisted
ten and then unanimously chose the winning
team. |
